Tres Hombres Rhythm & Blues . . .

is a band from Aachen, (in the western edge of Germany) who has committed itself to the timeless blues rock style of the sixties' rock heroes. The three members of the band went through that period of honest and sincere music at first hand and contribute this experience to their interpretaions. Their music ranges from blues to popular rock classics. The arrangements range from 'close to the original' through improvised solos up to mixtures with alien themes of classical music or light music. All songs are fitted mercilessly into trio style without that the audience misses a larger intrumentation. At their gigs the Hombres present handmade music for the stomach in a very passionate way and they are permanantly aiming at verbal and - thanks to wireless technology - spatial nearness to their audience.

  The name "Tres Hombres" is adapted from an album of the Texan blues band ZZTop.

The Music :

The repertoire ranges from blues at one side with songs of John Mayall, Gary Moore, Cream, Allman Bros. and Peter Green over ZZTop's boogie and the R&B of the early Stones up to genuine rock songs originated from Chuck Berry, CCR or AC/DC. As a special focal point the repertoire is completed by songs of Carlos Santana.

The "Hombres" are not afraid to recast songs originally written for larger instrumentations into trio arranagements (e.g. Sympathy for the devil, Black magic woman, Oye como va ), nor do they hesitate to combine rock standards with themes from other musical genres (e.g. Sunshine of your love & Funky town & Bach Toccata / Hey Joe & Pink Panther Theme / Let It Bleed & Strangers in the Night / Whole lotta Rosie & Hocus Pocus ). But also regular arrangements leave room to move for interpretation and temperament (e.g. Jesus Just Left Chicago, Shake your Moneymaker, Still got the Blues, Jumpin Jack Flash ). At biker events trio versions of Smoke On The Waterand Highway To Hell are obligatory.

Gig experience :

TRES HOMBRES have made a name for themselves, starting in Aachen and the three country edge becoming known supra regional. Their radius of action originally ranged through Dusseldorf, Duisburg and Cologne This radius even was extended by small tours to Hamburg and through Saxony and Thuringia in the very east of Germany. For them a blues gig in a small pub in Aachen, Maastricht, Brunssum or Liege is as well part of their experience as a Vernissage or a gig on stage in front of a larger audience at city parties, business events or birthday parties. At biker events they present their h and made music flesh-and-blood to the noble Harley community as well as to the smaller village club. The three men also successfully performed the TV shows "Nur mit Nummer" on "NRW-TV" and "Gong Show" on SAT 1.
